Don't Stop Believin' IN FREE BEER

Just a small town Boy
Living in a lonely world
He took the midnight train going TO FREE BEER
Just a city boy
Born and raised in South Detroit
He took the midnight train going TO FREE BEER

A Drinker in a smoky room
A smell of Popcorn and FREE BEER
For a smile they can share the FREE BEER
It goes on and on and on and on

Don't stop believing IN FREE BEER
Hold on to that feeling
Streetlight people

Beer is what holds us all together, we should not stop believing in its greatness. It is maybe the perfect event. It starts during Prime Time, 7:30, it ends by 8:30, people can be home by 9. How great is that? The bar staff is amazing, the food is good (wings 20 cents), the BEER IS FREE. We should not stop believing in FREE BEER

Born To Be FREE BEER

Get your motor running
Head out TO SALLY'S
Looking for FREE BEER
In whatever comes our way

Yeah, darling
Gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once and
Explode into space

I like smoke and FREE BEER
Heavy metal thunder
Racing in the wind
And the feeling that I'm under

Yeah, darling
Gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once and
Explode into space

Like a true nature child
We were born
Born to be FREE BEER
We have climbed so high
Never want to die
Born to be FREE BEER
Born to be FREE BEER

We are past the midpoint of the greatness that is FREE BEER. Tonight we should have an appearance by Mr. Veal, who had an unsuccessful attempt at the record (17 or 18) a year or so ago. It was impressive. Some logistic issues tonight, there is a Gopher bball game against NDSU, as much as I HATE ndsu, they have a decent chance tonight against my (if they lose, your) Gophers. The bball game is at 7:00, FREE BEER is at 7:30 so the crowd will be large and parking will be difficult prior to 7, after that it will be empty. There is a small chance they would not have free beer due to the bball game, but they typically do since FREE BEER starts after the tip. Sally's has not cancelled a Free Beer in almost 2 years.

Free Beer @ 7:30 & RHCP Review

Free Beer last week was good as always, the quarter went fast, which was probably good due to how BAD the Vikings are. BAD. Attendance was good in all aspects except for people from BBY. We had 1 person from BBY (me), that is the same amount as people who work at an Apple Orchard, or as a Teacher, or Civil Engineer. There are 43 BBY people on this email and we had ONE person? Oh Bother

Red Hot Chili Peppers review

Where: Xcel
Who: Notorious L I N Z, K Dog, Nick

This was my third time going to a RHCP show. The first time was horrible (kiedis was high as a kite and even called out how bad that mpls show was in his autobiography), the second time was AMAZING. This time? Great stage show. Just great. One of the best I have seen. They played for a tad over 2 hours. But how was the show? Good. Not great. They showed their age, they needed a nap, Flea and Kiedis just plain were tired. This translated to the very young audience, just not enough energy. The show should have been called the John Frusciante with RHCP, he completely dominated the show, it was not about the band, it was all about John’s guitar, he does play a mean guitar, but the overall vibe and energy just was not what I have come to expect from RHCP. Their set list was decent, they did play Don’t forget me from By the Way which was a highlight, but it also concentrated too much on the first disk of Stadium Arcadia, which is just average. Not much for fan interaction, a quick callout to Minnesota, a good thank you prior to the encore from Flea. Speaking of the encore. Started hot, then ENDED with a 20 MINUTE jam session. The whole show had way to much by the way of jam sessions, but ending the show with 20 minutes, no Kiedis, the members of Mars Volta, playing loud guitar for 20 minutes. Very disappointing. If I want to see a jam session I will go to DMB or Phish. They ended the night thanking Mars Volta and basically explained to the audience that they are great musicians and we as fans should ignore the fact that Mars Volta is maybe the worst live act in history.
