The Killers, Once Again

So the time has come, the band that has caused me many rants, my battle cry was "F the Killers".
Some history. They had played in 2005 after canceling many a show, did not care the audience was there, played 45 minutes and left. I then saw them in an improved show out in Vegas. It was just ok. So now they are onto their second cd that critics have not liked very much. I have to admit it, the Killers are my dirty little secret. I should not like their music, but darn it. I do. Sams Town is a great CD. Now the Killers were back at Roy Wilkins. Back at the scene of the crime that was their previous show.
I went in with a POOR attitude, the question is, would the Killers show up? Would they get the coveted Matt M seal of approval?
Show as noted in the review started a tad slow, but watch out. It picked up fast. Brandon was on his game, his true rock star charisma started to come out, he was into the show. He even called out St. Paul once. (did not meet my requirement of 3) It was a strong rock show. Big issues that still need to be worked out, sometimes the acoustics of Roy Wilkens can be a strain (great sight lines though) but the guitar talent on the Killers is reminiscent of a one armed child trying to play Guitar Hero. Just pathetic guitars.
Brandon more then made up for it, solid vocals and great energy.
They nailed a solid 95 minutes, hit a cover song, all signs that they could actually become a serious live act, two encores.
Did they get the seal? This is a band that I hated for how they treated their fans the first time around. This time, they won me over.
