Most of you will not recognize this song, it is On Wisconsin. The
official state song of Wisconsin and the school song for UW Madison.
Why am I doing this? I spent this past weekend at the Gopher FB and
the
Sioux Hockey games in Madison. My hate for Wisconsin is well
documented. After experiencing a classic Madison weekend, I have
nothing but respect for Badger fans. They are true fans and Gopher and
Sioux fans NEED to learn how to get behind their team like these fans.
They do not leave early, they party before and after, they have GREAT
traditions. FREE BEER at Sally's is a great example of the lack of
depth to the fan base here. Free Beer only had 3 people last week.
The
bar was not packed with students. The bar is ON CAMPUS and the beer is
FREE. I hope that with the Gopher Stadium opening in 09, we can at
least get a part of the greatness that Madison has. It is possible.
One thing that Gopher fans can hold onto is the superiority of THE
ROUSER. We need more then that.
